Comfort

Posted in Authors with tags , , on June 27, 2008 by beartwinsmom

Wrap me up in comfort that I yearn to feel
Remove me from cold, uncaring steel
That ensconces me like a cage.
Let me savor the senses of love and compassion
Drown me in warmth, fire of passion
One is that legend of the ages.

Shattered

This cruel life hath pushed me

Off this tattered shore.

I do not recognize

What remains anymore.

Shards of my shell

Lie scattered among the wreckage.

Some pieces forever abandoned,

Others frantically salvaged

In desperate hope of being repaired.

With forlorn eyes, I look at the damage,

Searching the misty skies above.

I gingerly collect the vestiges

To give to the Balm of Love.

I can’t wait to get writing again. I really do miss writing poetry. I look forward to reading everyone’s creative offerings.
